The 2023 season hasn’t exactly been what the Chicago Bears were expecting.
Many analysts and fans expected them to compete for the NFC North title, but they ultimately couldn’t compete after digging themselves into a hole.
While some continue to sing Justin Fields’ praises, others believe it is time for the team to move on, switching their attention to a new quarterback.
LeSean McCoy recently appeared on “Speak” on FS1, where he said, “Chicago, stop overthinking and go draft Caleb Williams.”

In this segment, McCoy compared Williams to Patrick Mahomes, remarking that he reminded him of Mahomes’ play style.
Williams is one of the most highly-touted quarterback prospects in recent history, making him a must-draft player for teams with a need at the position.
With the Bears securing the No. 1 overall pick from the Carolina Panthers, they will have a decision to make, as McCoy indicated.
As the No. 1 pick, he believes it would be foolish for them not to draft Williams, effectively starting over at quarterback.
This would throw Fields to the wayside, who would either be relegated to a backup role or eligible for a trade, depending on what the Bears want to do.
Some teams might see Fields as an untapped asset, making a move to trade for him.
If they believe they can develop him into a starting-caliber player, it could be a win-win scenario for both involved parties.
However, this is just speculation at this point, as the Bears haven’t announced what direction they are planning to go.
How will the next few months shake out for this franchise?
