The Kansas City Chiefs successfully defended their title, beating the San Francisco 49ers in overtime during Super Bowl LVIII.
The Chiefs were able to overcome another double-digit deficit in the championship game to capture their third ring in the past five years.
Kansas City is officially a dynasty that shows no signs of slowing down, especially as long as head coach Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes are around.
However, the duo of Reid and Mahomes have had help as the front office and scouting department have done well to supplement the roster with talent on both sides of the field.
General manager Brett Veach has quietly constructed one of the most balanced and talented rosters in the NFL and has done so almost under the radar.
Louis Riddick of ESPN believes that Veach is the best in the league at building a team and should get a raise via his personal Twitter account.
“Oh…yeah…and nobody has done a better job building a TEAM than Veach. Not collecting talent. Building a TEAM. If you don’t know the difference, then just sit this one out. He and his staff need to get big too,” Riddick tweeted.

Having a general manager who can put together winning rosters is an underrated facet of organizational operations and Veach has proven he knows how to build a winner.
The Chiefs are set up for the foreseeable future because of Mahomes, but Veach has an eye for talent and no doubt already knows what he needs to do to give the team the best chance to “three-peat” in 2024.
