The San Francisco 49ers and star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, are still in a contract standoff despite the receiver recently reporting to training camp.
It is unknown whether or not both sides will be able to agree to terms on a long-term extension or not.
If they do not, there could be a few teams that make sense as possible trade destinations.
ESPN analyst and former player Louis Riddick believes the New England Patriots make sense as a potential trade partner.
“If I’m Eliot Wolf up there in New England, I’m going, ‘So what will it cost us, what might it be because Drake Maye sure would like to throw to Brandon Aiyuk, and we have some salary cap space and we have some draft picks,’” Riddick recently stated on Get Up.

The Pats do indeed have the room to add another potential star to their offense around young Drake Maye.
With JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kendrick Bourne, and K.J. Osborn possibly being the team’s three best pass-catchers, a trade for Aiyuk could immediately inject some more life into the room.
Remember, Aiyuk finished seventh in the league last year in receiving yards (1,342).
While the likes of fellow 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel, tight end George Kittle, and running back Christian McCaffrey do a lot of things well in San Francisco’s offense, Aiyuk is the team’s best, true wide receiver.
The former first-round pick, who is ascending into his prime, could be the focal point of New England’s offense if a trade were to be made for him.
