The New York Giants are reportedly reviewing their options at the quarterback position.
They signed Daniel Jones to a big contract last offseason, but the early returns weren’t that encouraging.
However, former NFL player Louis Riddick believes this situation isn’t fair to the player.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, he questioned the fact that the Giants went from being all-in on him to now reportedly being done with him.
“Now we’re done after six games of playing last year and he has a neck injury,” Riddick said.

He also pointed out the fact that Jones was sacked 30 times despite playing just six games last season, and that’s obviously a tough environment for a quarterback.
In reality, Jones wasn’t any good even when healthy, and the Giants’ offense looked significantly better with undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito and Tyrod Taylor as well.
Also, the Giants weren’t that high on Jones before his breakout year in Daboll’s first season, as they didn’t even pick up his fifth-year option, so it’s not much of a surprise to see them reconsider their stance on him as a potential franchise-caliber player.
Then again, they haven’t done much to help him either.
The Giants have big issues on the offensive line and not many talented skill players.
Now, they won’t even have one of the best running backs in the game to take some pressure off his shoulders either, and that’s not going to be helpful to any guy they end up putting under center.
