The Las Vegas Raiders have started cleaning house.
In a not-so-shocking turn of events, they fired HC Josh McDaniels after a dismal start to the season.
Needless to say, it didn’t take long before the news arrived in Foxborough, where he’s spent most of his career.
When asked his thoughts about that, New England Patriots QB Mac Jones showed his sympathy for his former offensive coordinator, stating that he had a lot of respect for what he did with the franchise (via NBC Sports Boston).

McDaniels brought the best out of Jones in their lone season together.
He helped Jones finish as the Offensive Rookie of the Year runner-up in 2021.
He threw for 22 touchdowns against 13 picks with a 92.5 passer rating, leading the Patriots to 10 wins and a playoff berth.
Things haven’t been as good for the Alabama product since McDaniels left, as he’s been regressing at a consistent rate.
Jones has eight interceptions in as many games this season, and he ranks in the bottom third in most major QB-related categories this season.
Of course, people now wonder whether the Patriots will look to bring McDaniels back in any capacity after being let go by the Raiders.
Given his history with Bill Belichick and how much the Patriots have struggled to get anything going offensively, it would be shocking if Robert Kraft didn’t at least reach out and test the field to see if McDaniels is willing and interested in going back.
