The New York Giants struggled mightily on offense last season.
Daniel Jones deserved plenty of the blame for that, as he regressed vastly from his career-best season.
However, to be fair, and even if all other quarterbacks looked much better when given the opportunity, he didn’t have many weapons to work with either.
That’s why the Giants thought it would be best to give him one of the best wide receiver prospects we’ve seen in years, as opposed to moving on from him.
In the worst-case scenario, Malik Nabers would still be there if they later decided to pursue another quarterback and cut ties with Jones.
So far, so good for the LSU product.
As shown in a clip shared by Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter, Nabers is already making a great impression with the organization, making one-handed grabs like Odell Beckham Jr. out there.

Analysts believe Nabers could also have a similar role and impact on the offense to what his fellow LSU alumni had when he entered the league.
Odell Beckham Jr.’s career was riddled by injuries, but he was one of the absolute best players in the game when healthy.
Nabers is also an athletic freak with a knack for making big plays and highlight reel catches, and he should be the WR1 in the Big Apple right out of the gate.
With that in mind, there will be no more room for excuses for Daniel Jones, and this should be a make-or-break season for him.
