After a promising start to the 2023 NFL season in which the Green Bay Packers absolutely crushed the division-rival Chicago Bears on the road at Soldier Field, Jordan Love and company have lost two of their last three games, with the storied franchise starting to head in the wrong direction.
Although it appeared the Packers might be better than expected this season after trading superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets, the narrative is changing in Green Bay, with Love struggling and the Detroit Lions starting to take control of the NFC North division.
On Thursday, the Packers didn’t stand much of a chance against Dan Campbell’s Lions, as Detroit was able to do whatever they wanted to do offensively, especially in the ground game, with David Montgomery having his best game of the season with three touchdowns and 141 all-purpose yards.
After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur addressed the media and was particularly unhappy about one question, via Justis Mosqueda.

The Packers went into halftime of this game against the Lions down 27-3 with little to no chance of pulling off the comeback like they did the previous week against the New Orleans Saints.
The Lions defense was all over Love, forcing him to throw two interceptions while under siege every single snap, as the pocket collapsed in seconds on almost every single play.
As for Detroit, Jared Goff chipped in with 210 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception, as most of his night consisted of handing the ball off to Montgomery.
With this win, the Lions lead the division with a record of 3-1 while the Packers try to figure out how to bounce back and get the better of Detroit in their next meeting.
