It’s hard to win a ring in the National Football League.
A lot of factors come into play for a team to be able to hoist the Vince Lombardi trophy, and sometimes, the best players just can’t get over the hump.
Wins aren’t a quarterback stat, but quarterbacks often get all the credit and the blame when their teams either win or lose; that’s just the way it is.
With that in mind, former NFL MVP Matt Ryan — who knows this firsthand — shared his list of the current top-five quarterbacks without a Super Bowl ring (Via NFL on CBS).

At No. 5, he chose Dak Prescott, who’s coming off the best season of his career and was a strong candidate for MVP, but failed to rise to the occasion in the playoffs.
Shockingly, Offensive Rookie of the Year CJ Stroud got the nod at No. 4, which speaks volumes about his future in this league and how much gold the Houston Texans struck when they got him.
He chose Joe Burrow at No. 3, which is ironic, considering he’s the only player on this list who was actually close to winning a Super Bowl ring.
Then, at No. 2, he chose Lamar Jackson, who’s going to have a tough time shaking off that narrative of underperforming in the playoffs after what happened in the AFC Championship Game.
Last but not least, he chose Josh Allen, who’s been on the wrong end of some heartbreaking playoff losses, mostly at the hands of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
