The Las Vegas Raiders have one of the best pass rushers in the game.
Maxx Crosby has beaten the odds and has already had a better career than most scouts thought he’d ever have.
Moreover, he’s put Eastern Michigan’s name on top, and while they’ve never been a top-notch football program, he’s always going to represent them with pride.
That’s a two-way street.
Recently, his football program made the decision to honor him and his wife by naming their new playing surface ‘Crosby Field,’ according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Eastern Michigan University unveiled “Crosby Field” yesterday, named in honor of Raiders three-time Pro Bowl DE Maxx Crosby and his wife Rachel. The couple, who met at EMU and were both athletic standouts, made a $1 million donation to the athletic dept. last year.

Crosby and his wife, Rachel, both went to Eastern Michigan University and were standout athletes.
They made a $1 million donation to their athletic department last year, helping them fund several renovations on the premises, which included the installation of new gray and green turf and the removal of the old track surface.
A fourth-round draft pick back in 2019, Maxx Crosby has now established himself near the top of the NFL hierarchy of defensive players.
He recently got a contract extension to make him one of the highest-paid defensive stars in the game, and he clearly didn’t forget where he came from and decided to give back to his alma mater.
Hopefully, many more players will follow his steps and share the wealth as well, particularly those who come from not-so-popular football programs.
