Micah Parsons is one of the NFL’s brightest stars.
He is routinely touted as one of the league’s best defenders, which has tremendously helped the Dallas Cowboys over the past few years.
Parsons has also become popular on social media due to his on-field stardom and started a podcast to help grow his brand.
With more public comments comes more scrutiny, which Parsons has faced lately.
He recently talked about Brock Purdy during the San Francisco 49ers’ loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Christmas Day, comments that have since been criticized.

Parsons clarified what he meant in a recent podcast: “I don’t think Purdy played bad.”

Parsons tried to appeal to fans in this podcast, hoping they understood what he meant by his original comments.
At least in this conversation, Parsons said Purdy had a rough game and isn’t a bad quarterback.
He also added that he wished Purdy would have an “MVP moment where he shows us that it’s not a scheme and he is that guy.”
Parsons didn’t see that caliber of play in the Christmas Day game, which he was ultimately trying to get at.
Regardless of his comments in this podcast, Parsons has been called out by various members of the 49ers.
This will likely cause a rift between him and the 49ers moving forward, especially if the two teams play each other in the playoffs.
It will be interesting to see how players respond to Parsons’ recent podcast and if they believe he is being genuine.
