The Dallas Cowboys have a true leader in Micah Parsons.
The Penn State product has uplifted the level of their defense, and he holds his teammates to the same high standards that he holds himself.
That’s why it wasn’t shocking to see that his confidence remains unwavering after a 42-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, as crazy as it may seem.
According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, the former No. 12 pick feels like the lopsided score didn’t reflect what actually happened on the field, adding that they’re on the same tier as the Niners in terms of talent and personnel.
Cowboys DE Micah Parsons: “I don’t think [the 49ers] are at a higher level than us. I think we’re the same caliber playoff team. Same talent. Same standards. I just feel like we need to reconsider …and fix some things. …The score doesn’t really show what happened out there.”

Per Parsons, all they need to do to be as good as them is to reconsider and fix some minor things.
Truth be told, the Cowboys do have a solid squad and plenty of talent, even with star CB Trevon Diggs out for the season.
But their offense has been hampered by Dak Prescott’s struggles again.
It happened in their loss to the Arizona Cardinals, turning the ball over when his team needed him the most.
And it happened again on Sunday, as he threw three head-scratching picks in arguably the most crucial game of the regular season.
The Cowboys are by no means a flawed team, and they have plenty of experience on the coaching staff as well.
Also, they have more than enough time to tweak things and get back to their dominant ways.
Even so, it’ll be hard to believe it until we see it.
