Micah Parsons has been a member of the Dallas Cowboys since 2021, and in each of his three seasons with the franchise, the team has done enough to earn a spot in the playoffs.
However, Parsons and the Cowboys have failed to reach the NFC Championship in all three of these postseason appearances, so the pass rusher knows the team still has plenty of work to do.
During a recent conversation with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Parsons revealed that he actually had a discussion with Dallas owner Jerry Jones during the Super Bowl about the types of players the team should be adding to their roster before next season (via Kevin Gray Jr. on Twitter).
“We just [sat] at talked from before the game until the whole half about players I want to bring in, players I want to be around, who do I need, who do I want to be with, [and the] future of our team.”
Micah Parsons says he spoke to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones at length at the Super Bowl about the type of players he wants them to bring in; specifically saying he wants a bigger linebacker who can get downhill & a super 330 nasty interior #DallasCowboys

This past season, Parsons and the Cowboys finished with a 12-5 record, and they won the NFC East title for the second time in the last three years.
Unfortunately, their playoff journey was cut short when they lost in an opening round matchup to the Green Bay Packers.
Dallas has finished each of the last three regular seasons with a 12-5 record, so they know they have the talent to be successful.
But for whatever reason, when it comes time for the Cowboys to take part in a playoff contest, any success they had during the regular season is a total non-factor.
Could some of Parsons’ requests to Jones help Dallas finally get over the hump in 2024, or will the team continue to forget their identity when it comes time to suit up for a postseason matchup again?
