Michael Vick is largely credited with ushering in a new way of playing quarterback at the NFL level as he was as potent throwing the football as he was running it himself.
During his tenure in the league, Vick was one of the flashiest and most exciting players to watch because of how athletic he was.
Up to that point, most quarterbacks used running as a last resort to escape pressure in the pocket but Vick weaponized it to his advantage.
Opposing defenses had to gameplan much more carefully for Vick as he almost always found ways to move the football.
Although he never won a title in his career, fans and plans still revere Vick for what he was able to do and he remains a popular figure in league history.
However, the former quarterback admitted that he could have done more to prepare himself during game weeks via The Dan Patrick Show.
“I think if I would’ve spent more time on Tuesday when the coach were game planning and putting it all together… I think I would’ve progressed better as a passer,” Vick said.

It’s an honest admission from Vick who almost sounded like he lamented how he approached games given what he left on the table.
Defenses eventually figured out that if they could make Vick a passer they had a better chance of stopping him and the offense and that eventually bore out as he got older.
It’s a lesson for the young signal callers in the league to take their jobs more seriously and make sure they’re as prepared as possible before stepping onto the field.
