The NFL’s Pro Bowl rosters have officially been released.
Many fans already gave their instant reactions, but now that they have had time to process the news, players are also beginning to comment on them.
Some players have expressed excitement for themselves or their teammates, while others have taken time to call out potential snubs from the roster.
In a conversation shared via Ari Meirov, Mike Evans discussed his teammate, Antoine Winfield Jr., and the egregious mistake that he was not included on the Pro Bowl roster.
Evans said, “I have seen a lot of guys get snubbed, but that was probably the biggest one that I’ve seen in my time in the league.”

Meirov also quoted a tweet from Greg Auman, who noted the statistical differences between Winfield and Budda Baker, who was selected for the Pro Bowl.
Winfield has more interceptions, forced and recovered fumbles, and sacks than Baker.
In Evans’ mind and Winfield’s father’s response to Meirov, it was offensive to leave Winfield off the team.
Winfield seems to have Baker beat on paper when looking at the two as an apples-to-apples comparison.
It will be interesting to see if there is additional fallback from this snub and if Winfield Jr. will comment on the issue further.
While Evans is fired up about this, he and the Buccaneers have bigger fish to fry.
The Buccaneers face a win-and-in scenario this weekend regarding their playoff hopes, which Evans and his team need to shift their attention to.
