The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the most discussed teams of the NFL offseason.
Not only are they viewed as “America’s Team,” but after seeing their collapse in the Wild Card playoff game against the Green Bay Packers, fans and analysts expressed concern for the future of this organization.
Some pointed to Mike McCarthy as the team’s most significant barrier to success, but he doesn’t appear to be going anywhere.
There is also a sense that Dak Prescott’s time with the Cowboys is nearing a close, especially since they have not made a deep playoff run in several years.
Prescott is entering the final year of his deal, so it will be interesting to see how he plays, and how the front office will respond to his play and demeanor in the upcoming season.
Mike Greenberg recently talked about this on ESPN Radio, advocating for Prescott to move on from this team.
As Greenberg said, “Every time he throws an incomplete pass, it trends on Twitter.”

Greenberg could be on to something.
Prescott is often blamed for the team’s failures, even if he has an outstanding game.
Moving on from this team could help him get back into the right head space, and starting over might end up being the best thing for his career.
Prescott will be 31 years old heading into the 2024 season.
If he proves that he still has enough left in the tank, even if the Cowboys play well this year, he might be out the door and on to his next challenge and adventure.
