The Kansas City Chiefs are fresh off winning their second straight Super Bowl, their third in the past five years.
This is a team that has been historically known for a fantastic offense, but this year, their defense was the story.
The Chiefs allowed the second-fewest points in the league during the regular season, which was needed when their offense wasn’t performing to their usual standards.
Steve Spagnuolo is the team’s defensive coordinator, and with this win, he becomes the first defensive coordinator to win 4 Super Bowls.
With this in mind, Mike Greenberg believes he should be in the Hall of Fame, as he mentions in a recent segment on ESPN Radio.
“He is working his way into that kind of rarified air,” Greenberg said.

Spagnuolo has been called a mastermind of a DC by many analysts, and putting him into the Hall of Fame would certainly help recognize his accomplishments, and what he has meant to the Chiefs throughout his career.
They haven’t always been a dominant defense, but after they put the right players in place during the offseason, Spagnuolo was able to go to work.
It will be interesting to see what the Chiefs’ defense looks like next year, as they will likely have to lose a few players in free agency.
Chris Jones or L’Jarius Snead will likely be out the door, meaning Spagnuolo will be without one, or potentially two of his top defensive playmakers.
If he can continue to bring success to this unit, he could further his status as a Hall of Famer, as Greenberg seems to believe will happen.
