D.K. Metcalf is a force of nature in the NFL, having already caught a whopping 372 passes and 43 touchdown strikes in only five seasons.
He is also a physical challenge for every defense the Seattle Seahawks face, standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing a rock-solid 235 pounds.
New Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald clearly sees the writing on the wall, and he knows that it is his job to run the lion’s share of his team’s offense through his star wide receiver.
Macdonald told Tom Pelissero that he intends to put much of the offensive focus on finding ways to get the ball to the electric Metcalf.

After all, Metcalf is one of only three players in NFL history to gain 900 or more receiving yards and six or more touchdowns in each of his first five seasons in the league.
Metcalf valiantly fought through injuries in 2023 and was still able to post a career-high 16.9 average per catch.
Macdonald envisions a game plan that funnels passes to his “big and imposing” star.
Undisputed quarterback starter Geno Smith will have the duty to connect with Metcalf as the team utilizes this mismatch to march down the field.
Macdonald faces immense pressure to produce for a squad that had a winning record last season and was not eliminated from playoff contention until the final weekend.
Even so, Seattle parted ways with Pete Carroll, the winningest coach in franchise history and the only man to bring a Super Bowl trophy to the Pacific Northwest.
Success for Macdonald will require using all available weapons, particularly Metcalf.
