It’s make-or-break time for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
They’ve revamped the offense by adding some interesting prospects to their offense, and that clearly was a point of emphasis leading to the NFL Draft.
Moreover, with a new offensive coordinator and two new quarterbacks in town, expectations are as high as they’ve ever been at Acrisure Stadium.
With that in mind, NFL insider Peter Schrager asked HC Mike Tomlin his thoughts on the Steelers’ new-look offense and how Arthur Smith was getting along with Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, and his answer was spot on.
“All three guys – to be really transparent – have something to prove professionally…it’s not fun to relocate or get fired. But as competitors, it always motivates in the right way,” Tomlin said.
I asked Mike Tomlin how it’s been going with Arthur Smith and his two new QBs. His answer is A+.

Tomlin claimed that all the guys are somewhat scolded and have something to prove, and that’s obviously great for an organization.
He stated that they, as a group, are also hurt and looking to make a statement.
Tomlin claimed that it’s never fun to get fired or relocated, but he believes that’s going to bring out the best of them.
Mike Tomlin is one of the best head coaches in the game, but even he was the subject of doubts and criticism last season.
The Steelers don’t need Wilson or Fields to be stars; they just need them to be competent.
As for Arthur Smith, he was also under some heavy fire, so he’ll have a big chip on his shoulder as well.
