The MLB postseason is full of teams that are all chasing the same thing, a World Series championship.
While every team and individual player is motivated by the thought of winning, it is never bad to have some added motivation.
Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper found some added motivation heading into Game 3 of the NLDS.
Atlanta Braves shortstop Orlando Arcia made fun of Harper’s baserunning mistake after Game 2 .
He was heard in the clubhouse saying, “ha-ha, atta boy Harper.”
The Phillies clubhouse heard about the quote and made sure Harper knew about it heading into Game 3.
He proceeded to hit two home runs in the game and the Phillies won, 10-2.
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman voiced his opinion on how the quote got out of the Braves clubhouse.
He tweeted: “It’s ridiculous us players have to watch what we say in OUR clubhouse.”

It was clear that Arcia did not want anyone but his teammates to hear what he said.
But, with all the reporters that fill the clubhouse nowadays, someone heard it and reported on it.
Harper and the Phillies did not need any added motivation.
Yet, this encounter certainly did add a fun element to Game 3.
On both of Harper’s home runs he stared at Arcia while he was running around the bases.
This was one of the best moments of the postseason and it will be interesting to see what Harper does for an encore.
The Phillies have a chance to close the series out at home in Game 4.
You can bet they will be plenty motivated to send the Braves packing in front of their home crowd.
