It’s never too early for some MLB power rankings.
Yes, the 2023 season just ended, but websites and services can still rank teams ahead of the 2024 campaign.
Think of these as the first “pre-offseason power rankings.”
Too early for 2024 Power Rankings? Not at all!

Even though the Texas Rangers won the World Series just a few days ago, MLB ranks the Atlanta Braves at the top and it’s hard to blame them.
The Braves are MLB’s premier team: their offense is unbelievable, and their pitching staff is also very talented.
The last two seasons have brought early postseason exits, but they won it all in 2021 and are capable of doing it again in 2024.
The Rangers appear second: there was no way the reigning World Series champs wouldn’t be in the top two.
With a phenomenal offense led by MVP candidates Corey Seager and Marcus Semien, the Rangers are a couple of pieces away from being American League favorites again in 2024.
The Baltimore Orioles are third, and they deserve that spot because they won 101 games and are one ace away from being the gold standard in the junior circuit.
Will they show enough aggressiveness and get it this offseason?
It will be a tough test for them.
The Philadelphia Phillies made the World Series in 2022 and the National League Championship Series in 2023.
They are right there, on the verge of winning it all again for the first time since 2008.
The Tampa Bay Rays complete the top five.
The Houston Astros are sixth, the Los Angeles Dodgers are seventh, and the New York Yankees don’t even appear in the top 10.
