The National Baseball Hall of Fame is supposed to be the home for the most talented players in MLB.
In the majority of cases, those who belong have been voted in, either by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America or a Veteran’s Committee.
However, for multiple reasons, some of the very best players of our beloved game have been denied entry.
MLB on FOX performed an exercise on Twitter.
They asked fans who they thought was the biggest Hall of Fame snub.
Of course, the answers were diverse and controversial.
That’s the idea: to spark a debate.
The Hall of Fame is, at the end of the day, a place that invites subjectivity.
These might be the biggest snubs of all time:
Barry Bonds, Pete Rose, and Shoeless Joe

Barry Bonds, perhaps the greatest player ever to step on a baseball field, is being kept out of the Hall for playing in the steroid era and for his ties to performance-enhancing drugs, even though the league did not punish users in the 1990s and 2000s.
Pete Rose and “Shoeless” Joe Jackson are being punished for gambling and game-fixing scandals.
Andruw Jones was another popular answer: he was one of the best defensive center fielders of all times, plus a speedy, powerful hitter.
Andruw Jones tops my list.

Two former New York Yankees were also mentioned a lot: Alex Rodriguez and Gary Sheffield.
A rod . Sheffield

Fans came up with many big names: Roger Clemens, winner of seven Cy Young awards, is another big snub.
This year, Wagner. All time, Bonds and Clemens

Lou Whitaker

Steve Garvey. I think he should be in Hall of Fame. My dad and my uncle was there at the Q when he hit walk off home run in game 4 of NLCS. He’s 10 time all star and 4 times gold glove and 2 times NLCS MVP. That’s a hall of fame resume.

How can we forget about one of the men who revitalized baseball in 1998: Sammy Sosa:

Hot Take: A roster of the biggest MLB Hall of Fame snubs would win in a single game elimination against the best MLB Hall of Famers of all-time.

This above comment sums it all up, though: if you make a team of Hall of Fame snubs, it might actually beat the ones in Cooperstown.
