Williams is coming off a great year where he recorded 36 saves.
He pitched in 61 games for a total of 58.2 innings and his ERA over that span was 1.53.
Not to mention, Williams also had 13.3 strikeouts per nine innings.
Second on the list is New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz.
It is interesting to see him that high after missing all of last season, but when Diaz is healthy he is elite.
In 2022, Diaz threw 62.0 innings with 118 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.31.
He also recorded 32 saves that year.
The Mets saw a significant drop-off in wins in 2023 partly because Diaz was unable to finish games.
One of the most interesting things about this list is that there are three Astros.
Bryan Abreu, Josh Hader, and Ryan Pressly will all be pitching for Houston in 2024.
Being able to say you have three of the top-10 relief pitchers in baseball is a huge advantage.
It looks clear that the Astros are hoping to make another run at the World Series.
Hader is the favorite to be closer, but all three of those pitchers can finish games if need be.
Every successful MLB team has to have a good bullpen.
Many of the names on this list will play a big role in 2024.
