There is a reason baseball has always been referred to as America’s pastime.
Fans of all ages love the game and want to see it played the right way.
That is why MLB is doing its best to make the games shorter in time and more family-friendly.
Not many fans want to go to a baseball game and sit there for four-plus hours.
So the added pitch clock and disengagement rules have helped speed up the game.
This has increased attendance for MLB games all year long.
According to MLB Communications, MLB’s regular-season attendance ended at an impressive +9.6% over the 2022 total.

Also, MLB surpassed the 70 million mark for the first time since 2017.
The game has become much more popular due to the new rules and fans becoming more engaged.
Now with the postseason starting on Tuesday, the attendance is only going to increase.
Every stadium should be sold out for each game in the playoffs.
The new playoff format even allows one extra team to get in to increase the amount of revenue.
Looking at the graphic, the weekends were the one time during the week that saw the biggest increase.
There are not many things better than sitting down and watching baseball on a weekend.
The postseason attendance should be at an all-time high this year.
MLB is starting to become more and more popular which is great news for the sport.
