The Chicago Bears are about to enter a new era.
Ryan Poles has made some great moves to show that the team is ready to take a major leap forward, and they will continue to add more talent with the No. 1 and No. 9 picks.
Of course, with Justin Fields out of the picture, the table is set for them to take a new franchise quarterback.
Needless to say, most people assume they’re going to get Caleb Williams, and rightfully so.
That includes pass rusher Montez Sweat.
Talking to Chris Long for his podcast, the retired pass rusher asked Sweat to give whoever’s going to be the next Bears quarterback a piece of advice.
“Be yourself. Don’t try to do it all overnight,” Sweat said.

Sweat jokingly stated that it’s obvious that the Bears are going to go with the USC star, adding that he would just tell him to stay humble and be himself.
The pass rusher urged Williams not to try to do everything or get everything right overnight, adding that he’s going to have a great supporting cast around him to give him a helping hand.
He thinks that the additions of Keenan Allen and D’Andre Swift will obviously be huge for him and the team, so he expects Williams not to force or overdo things.
That’s a great piece of advice.
Being the No. 1 pick comes with hefty expectations, especially if you’re expected to be an ever-struggling franchise’s savior.
Williams might have what it takes to do so and perhaps even more, but all rookies go through a bit of a learning curve, and he needs to be mature enough and mentally strong to deal with that.
