The National Football League keeps making money at unprecedented rates.
Some might not like Commissioner Roger Goodell, but one thing’s for sure: He knows how to market his product.
And with multiple streaming platforms entering the scene, it didn’t take long before the bidding war made its way to America’s favorite sport.
According to a report by Bloomberg (via Ari Meirov), streaming giant Netflix is currently finalizing a deal to stream games on Christmas Day starting next season.
Netflix is finalizing a deal to acquire exclusive rights to stream both NFL games on Christmas Day this upcoming season, per Bloomberg.

Per the report, Netflix would purchase the games for less than $150 million each.
Netflix will now join Peacock and Amazon Prime among several streaming platforms that have recently partnered with the league.
A recent report showed that it could cost up to $850 to watch every game next season.
Of course, this is music for the league’s ears, but not so much for the fans.
It seems like we’re one or two streaming platforms away from going full circle and going back to cable at this point.
Still, football continues to be king, and it will be a long time before that changes, if ever.
The fans will continue to spend their hard-earned money to sit back and relax — sometimes — watching their favorite team with their friends and family.
