With the end of the NFL season just around the corner, we can already make assumptions about the teams that might change coaches for the upcoming season.
And, once again, Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh is going to be tied to multiple job openings.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, the Chicago Bears have reportedly had some conversations about Harbaugh potentially taking over for Matt Eberflus, should the coach be fired (via The Herd & Daniel Greenberg).

Harbaugh, who comes with plenty of NFL experience, has been tied to countless job openings since leaving to coach at Ann Arbor.
He had already stated that he wasn’t interested in coming back to the NFL, but with him facing a suspension due to alleged recruited violations during a COVID-19 dead period, he could change his mind.
Harbaugh was also the subject of an investigation involving illegal sign-stealing, and some believe he could be suspended for the entire 2024 collegiate season once the NCAA reveals its final findings.
So, considering the fact that he has some ties with the Bears dating back to his playing days, not to mention that former Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warner has just been hired as the Bears CEO, it wouldn’t be shocking to see his name being thrown into the mix.
The Bears have an improved defense and two top-five picks in the upcoming NFL Draft, and while their current QB situation is uncertain, they could become quite an appealing destination for any coach, Harbaugh included, if they decide to take Caleb Williams.
