The Chicago Bears are on the clock already.
Most people expect them to get their hands on Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick, and anything else would feel like a disservice, even if they get a massive haul in return for that highly-coveted selection.
Of course, that makes Justin Fields the odd man out, and he’s expected to be moved at some point.
Recently, GM Ryan Poles claimed that if they do end up taking Williams, then it only makes sense to do right by Fields and move him before the start of free agency.
Now, NFL insider Dov Kleiman notes that the Atlanta Falcons have emerged as the odds-on favorite to acquire his services (via NBC Sports Bears).

Per the report, the Falcons have already reached out to the Bears and are looking forward to getting a deal done.
This isn’t much of a surprise.
A Georgia native, Fields has already addressed the possibility of playing for his hometown team, and few teams have a bigger need for a quarterback than the Falcons.
With new head coach Raheem Morris ready to lead the way and get them into a new era, they need someone who can unleash Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts and their potential.
The Pittsburgh Steelers were also mentioned as a potential destination for the Ohio State product, but it now seems like they’re ready to commit to Kenny Pickett.
Whatever the case, one thing’s for sure: Justin Fields won’t be a Chicago Bear for much longer.
