This upcoming NFL Draft has all the makings of a blockbuster trade or two going down, with so many teams needing quarterbacks and many big-name QBs available atop the board.
One team has all the ammunition to make a big move, and many rumors leading up to the draft have pointed to one similar destination.
According to Ben Goessling of The Star Tribune, all signs point to “a big move up” for the Minnesota Vikings, as head coach Kevin O’Connell and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah are aware of what’s riding on this upcoming year.
Per @BenGoessling, HC Kevin O’Connell and GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah know what’s riding in Year 3 and it’s unlikely they’ll wait till Year 4 to get their QB. All signs point to “a big move” up

Goessling added, “They know they’ll be measured on what they do at the QB position. It’s unlikely they’ll want to wait until Year 4 together to acquire a young QB, and the 2025 quarterback draft class might not have as many prospects as this one is believed to have. All signs point to a QB, and possibly to a big move up in the draft to take one.”
The Vikings have the No. 11 pick and the No. 23 pick, which could easily be paired in a move up for a quarterback, perhaps Michigan National Champion J.J. McCarthy.
The Vikings didn’t lose much this offseason outside of Kirk Cousins, as this is still a team in a great position to welcome in a rookie QB and make his life easy.
This team has elite weapons at WR and tight end, a solid offensive line, an innovative young head coach, and good talent on defense.
There are few teams better prepared to capitalize on a rookie QB contract window and win immediately.
