The NFL Draft is just around the corner, and the first round promises to feature plenty of talent, even more than in years prior.
More than that, there are several quarterback-needy teams and plenty of options to choose from.
That’s why NFL insider Adam Schefter believes we could see at least five quarterbacks taken in the first round, although he wouldn’t be shocked to see that number go up to six.
Talking on ESPN, Schefter argued that everybody knows the likes of the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants, Denver Broncos, and Las Vegas Raiders could all be in the hunt for a quarterback.
Nonetheless, he also states that with Dak Prescott set to test free agency, Matthew Stafford not having guaranteed money beyond this year, and Kirk Cousins’ age, the table is also set for the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams, and Atlanta Falcons to enter the mix (Via Billy M).
Schefter “I think there will be at least 5 QBs go in 1st. Possibly all 6. We mention these teams in the QB market that aren’t talked about enough, what about LAR with Stafford having no GTD$ after this year, DAL with Dak in last year, and ATL wanting QB insurance behind Kirk.” pic.twitter.com/QYGwMjNyjt

Caleb Williams, Jayden Williams, and Drake Maye are all expected to be taken in the first round, and most likely with the first three picks.
Then, J.J. McCarthy and Bo Nix could round out the first round.
From that, Michael Penix Jr. looks like the best available talent, with some even being willing to ignore his age and injury woes to deem him the most talented passer in this class.
We hadn’t seen so much talent at this position in quite a while, and it’ll be nice to watch how their NFL careers unfold.
