Veteran tight end Zach Ertz is the biggest name on the free agent market at the moment.
The Arizona Cardinals waived Ertz on Nov. 30 after the two mutually parted ways.
Ertz had previously missed the past five games with a quad injury and had been supplanted by 2022 second-round pick Trey McBride.
The veteran tight end reportedly wants to sign with a contending team, and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said he believes the Philadelphia Eagles, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Baltimore Ravens would be among those interested in Ertz.

The case for all three makes sense.
Ertz played eight seasons for Philadelphia from 2013-2021 and won a Super Bowl with the Eagles.
Philadelphia traded Ertz to the Cardinals midway through the 2021 season, but a reunion would alleviate some pressure from Dallas Goedert as he works his way back from a forearm injury that forced him to miss several weeks.
The 49ers don’t necessarily need another starting tight end with George Kittle healthy, but could use a quality backup after Ross Dwelley landed on injured reserve.
Finally, the Ravens have a glaring need at tight end after the ankle injury to Mark Andrews.
While Baltimore has leaned on second-year backup Isaiah Likely and Andrews could come back late in the postseason, Ertz would provide a lot of offensive insurance for a team with Super Bowl aspirations.
Ertz should have his pick of suitors as the season winds down.
It’ll be up to him to decide which direction he wants his season to go.
