After new acquisition Aaron Rodgers went down with a torn Achilles on their first offensive series of the season, the New York Jets were doomed to suffer through yet another dismal season.
They have many new players this season, and not all of them are thriving in their new surroundings.
One player who seems lost in the shuffle is wide receiver Mecole Hardman, who the Jets signed in free agency during the offseason.
An anonymous NFL executive thinks Hardman could end up being traded back to the Kansas City Chiefs this season, per JPAFootball and insider Matt Lombardo.

Although Hardman has played in four of New York’s five games, he has just one catch on one target for six yards on the season, and he has seemingly been an afterthought for them.
Last year, while with the Super Bowl champion Chiefs, he had 297 yards and four touchdowns in eight games, and the season before that, he was at 693 yards.
The Chiefs are tied for the best record in the AFC at 4-1, but they do not have a consistently reliable or productive wide receiver after losing JuJu Smith-Schuster in free agency during the offseason, and they could use plenty of help at that position.
Hardman was a second-round draft pick in 2019, and he made the Pro Bowl as a rookie while helping Kansas City win the first of their two world championships during the Patrick Mahomes era.
Perhaps the Jets could get a decent return for the 25-year-old Hardman, no matter where they may end up sending him to.
