One of the coolest things about the NFL is when rookies or inexperienced players get an opportunity to play against an old legend or somebody that they grew up watching.
This is the case for the final pick in this year’s NFL Draft in safety Jaylen Key.
Key, who was this year’s “Mr. Irrelevant,” is now practicing against one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history in Aaron Rodgers.
“It’s pretty crazy to see Aaron Rodgers out there with you…He’s a great player, he’s generational, and it’s pretty crazy that he’s the quarterback of the team I’m playing with,” Key recently told the NFL Network.

The NFL can come at you fast.
Sometimes, that can be a good thing and other times, it could be bad.
In this case for Key, it is good.
He went from waiting until the final pick of the draft to hear his name called to playing on a team with Aaron Rodgers.
If the former Alabama star can hold his own against the four-time MVP and Super Bowl champion in practice, perhaps he’ll have a long future in the league.
With their not being a particular standout in the safety room, the 6-1, 208-pound Key has a decent chance to make the roster.
Outside of veterans Tony Adams and Chuck Clark, no one else is really a threat to that position.
Key started 12 games at free safety for Alabama last season.
He recorded 60 tackles, multiple pass deflections and an interception in what would be Nick Saban’s final year in Tuscaloosa.
