The San Francisco 49ers didn’t need a lot of help to dominate their competition.
They were already the strongest juggernaut in the league, and we’re talking on both sides of the field.
So, watching them trade for Chase Young was pretty much overkill, but it also made them even more of a must-watch kind of team.
Young was having a solid season with the Washington Commanders, but he was no longer a part of their plans for the future.
Now, he’s reunited with fellow Ohio State Buckeye Nick Bosa.
When asked about that, Bosa said on The Morning Roast that Young’s addition has been ‘huge,’ praising him for opening things up as another guy who can rush the passer.
“The addition has been huge. Just having another guy could rush out there, it opens things up. But honestly, I think throughout the season, guys get better, especially new guys in a scheme.”@nbsmallerbear on how adding Chase Young helped the #49ers defense

On top of that, he believes he’s going to get better as he gets more used to the new scheme (via 95.7 The Game).
Young was one of the most promising defenders in the game, and having him reunited with his former teammate has taken that already impressive defense to a whole new level.
Injuries derailed what seemed to be a very promising career, but he’s still young, and proved to be able to bounce back and make an impact again as soon as he was cleared to play.
Getting him for such a reasonable price and having the chance to lock him up for years to come could end up being one of the best moves in recent Niners’ history, and that’s the kind of move that could turn a very good team into a legitimate dynasty.
