The Philadelphia Phillies have not reached two consecutive NLCS by accident.
Many years of roster building from the front office went into building this championship team.
One player who has changed the franchise for the better is two-time MVP Bryce Harper.
He agreed to a massive 13-year contract with the Phillies before the 2019 season.
Since then, he has fully bought into this franchise and has helped them acquire some other great players.
According to Jon Morosi, Harper played a big role in the Phillies signing Nick Castellanos.
Castellanos said Harper was “very” involved during the recruiting process.

It was clear that Harper was coming to Philly looking to win a World Series.
He has done everything in his power to help his team get there.
Castellanos was not the only one Harper spent time recruiting.
He also helped bring former Washington Nationals teammate Trea Turner to Philadelphia.
Turner signed an 11-year deal with the Phillies this offseason and he has been worth every penny.
Harper knows which players around the league will fit into the Phillies locker room and helps get those players to sign.
Castellanos has been great this season for the Phillies.
He was one of their two All-Stars and he has hit numerous clutch home runs in the playoffs.
But, the Phillies still have five wins to go to reach their ultimate goal.
Harper imagined winning a World Series as a part of this team in his introductory press conference back in 2019.
A lot will be on his shoulders to help finish the job.
