The Chicago Bears are slated to look significantly different in 2024 than they did in 2023.
One of the most noticeable differences will be at the quarterback position, as the Bears traded away Justin Fields.
This all but confirms the fact they will be taking a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft, which is projected to be Caleb Williams.
Generally, when a team has the No. 1 overall pick, it takes a few years for their roster to be re-adjusted and for a rebuild to take place.
However, the Bears have done a lot of the heavy lifting in the offseason regarding roster construction.
As Nick Wright highlighted in a segment of First Things First, “This is where he (Williams) is best set up to succeed.”

Not only have the Bears added several players throughout free agency, but as Wright points out, the Bears have one of the easiest schedules in the league next year.
Wright illustrated this by saying, “Who were the worst teams in football last year? The Bears play all of them.”
He looked at the Bears’ schedule against non-divisional opponents, which includes the Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Washington Commanders, and Carolina Panthers.
While it remains to be seen how these teams will perform in 2024, if their 2023 season is any indication, the Bears could be in for a treat in Williams’ first season, assuming he goes there.
As Wright suggests, the NFC North could present a tough test for him and this team, but at least the rest of their schedule is easier.
