The Philadelphia Eagles have put themselves in a tough spot.
They lost five of their past six games, including some late-game collapses that were pretty hard to watch, much less explain.
What seemed to be a clear-cut Super Bowl candidate has now looked like one of the worst teams in the league, and a lot of that has reflected upon Nick Sirianni.
That’s why NFL analyst Nick Wright believes the Eagles should at least consider the possibility of letting him go, especially considering the fact that both Mike Vrabel and Bill Belichick are available and would make the team instantly better:
“There are now two coaches on the market that if I were Jeffrey Lurie, I’d far rather have than Nick Sirianni — Bill Belichick and Mike Vrabel — that would instantly make the Eagles better,” Wright said, via “First Things First.”

The pundit explained that it’s obviously a bad look to fire a head coach just one year after making the Super Bowl.
Then again, that could be justified if the Eagles lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as they’re the winners of the weakest division in football and have a banged-up quarterback, especially considering how poorly they ended up the season after a 10-1 start.
He also made a case for this because you might only get one single chance to hire Belichick, adding that Vrabel is just simply better than Sirianni.
At the end of the day, Sirianni has done a good job in charge of the team overall, but it seems like the roster is torn and has lost all faith in the coaching staff, and there’s simply no way to come back from that once a team reaches that point.
