The New England Patriots and New York Jets will play for nothing but bragging rights.
Both teams have been eliminated from playoff contention and will start quarterbacks who might not even be a part of their roster next season.
However, all things considered, Nick Wright believes the Pats have way more at stake this time.
Talking on his What’s Wright with Nick Wright Show, he claimed to ‘love’ the Patriots’ chances in this game, especially regarding Bill Belichick.
“He’s not losing to the Jets for the first time in eight years. It’s simple,” Wright said.
“It might be Bill Belichick’s last game ever as a Patriot head coach. He’s not losing to the Jets. He despises the Jets.”

For starters, this could be Belichick’s final game with the Patriots.
Wright also claims that he despises the Jets, so there’s no way he’s going to leave by losing to them.
On top of that, he believes the Jets and the coaching staff could relax a little because they would benefit from having a better draft pick, while Belichick and the Patriots couldn’t care less about that because he’s not even going to be the one making that pick in the first place.
Wright believes the Jets are going to keep the same coaching staff because of Aaron Rodgers, and that won’t change because of a loss in the regular-season finale.
Those arguments make plenty of sense, and you know Belichick won’t want to leave on a low note, especially with Don Shula’s record still up for grabs.
It’s hard to trust this version of the Patriots to beat anybody, but if you bet on one head coach finding a way to win a single football game, chances are you would roll with Bill Belichick in that regard.
