Only four teams in the NFL are left standing during the postseason, with the AFC and NFC Championship Games set to take place this weekend, with the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Detroit Lions and the Kansas City Chiefs traveling to take on the Baltimore Ravens.
At this point, it seems like everyone is projecting a showdown between the 49ers and Ravens in next month’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas, Nevada, as these two teams clearly look like the best teams in football and more than capable of advancing to the big game.
However, the Chiefs are still the defending Super Bowl champions, and despite not looking like the same team of old, Patrick Mahomes and company are two wins away from hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy for a third time.
A lot of people may have written off the Chiefs as a team that may not have it this year, but Nick Wright of FOX Sports is sticking by the team he’s supported all year long, and he’d go as far as to say that Kansas City shouldn’t be an underdog in this game at M&T Bank Stadium, via “First Things First.”
“Is it the playoffs right now? Yes. Are the Chiefs playing Tom Brady? No. Well then no, the Chiefs shouldn’t be underdogs.”

Currently, the top-seeded Ravens, led by NFL MVP favorite Lamar Jackson, are only slightly favored (-3.5) to win this AFC Championship Game in Baltimore.
At this point in time, it’s hard not to make a case that the Ravens are the best all-around team in this matchup and potentially the best team in the NFL right now, with Jackson and company firing on all cylinders on both sides of the football.
However, the Chiefs always seem to bring it in the postseason, which gives them the possibility of pulling off the upset on the road.
