Some schools do a better job at producing NFL talent than others.
The University of Alabama seems to keep churning out some of the top prospects in the NFL Draft each year.
Players who have gone through this system are desirable to NFL franchises, especially with the organization’s rich history of winning.
When NFL players select a player in the draft, they want to make sure that the player is accustomed to playing in big games, which is not usually a problem for Alabama players.
One of the top Alabama players in the 2024 class is cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry.
McKinstry has been on NFL radars for several seasons but is now being recruited at a high level by some of the top teams in the draft.
As a recent Pro Football Talk tweet indicated, McKinstry had meetings with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars over the past week.

The Jaguars currently hold the No. 17 pick in the draft, while the Buccaneers are slated to pick at No. 26.
Given McKinstry’s prospect profile, there is a chance that he won’t make it to either of these teams.
If he does fall, however, he presents as the type of player that could make an instant impact on any team that chooses to draft him.
Every NFL team can use another defensive back on their roster, and McKinstry could not only be a depth piece for an organization but could compete to be the team’s CB1 right away.
This year’s draft is filled with amazing talent like McKinstry, leaving teams with a lot of choices as it pertains to the best available player.
