When the Los Angeles Rams went 5-12 and missed the playoffs in 2022 a year after winning the Super Bowl championship, it looked like they were in for a long rebuilding project.
But last season, they finished hot and made the playoffs, and now there is optimism they can continue to rebuild on the fly while being competitive.
There is some buzz that Los Angeles could trade up into the top 10 of Thursday’s NFL Draft, and if they do, chances are they will use the pick they acquire to select tight end Brock Bowers, per ESPN Bet.

Bowers is considered the best tight end prospect in this year’s draft, and in three seasons at the University of Georgia, he caught 175 passes for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns.
He also won two John Mackey Awards, an honor that is given to the nation’s best tight end.
Bowers has the type of explosiveness that is rarely seen at his position, and he is even a threat to add yards after the catch.
The Rams seem set at wide receiver — Puka Nacua had a sensational rookie year in 2023 and veteran Cooper Kupp still has plenty of game left — and they also have young studs at running back and on their front seven defensively.
On the other hand, they have an aging quarterback in Matthew Stafford, and the retirement of the legendary Aaron Donald has left a void at defensive tackle.
If the Rams do land a top-10 pick, it isn’t a foregone conclusion they will go with Bowers.
