When the Denver Broncos acquired superstar quarterback Russell Wilson in a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks, it was thought to be a game-changer for the storied NFL franchise, with the team having found another aging veteran that might be able to lead them to a Super Bowl title.
Unfortunately for the Broncos, the trade hasn’t gone as planned, with Wilson being a resounding disappointment and someone the team is now looking to move off of, as it seems as though he’s played his last season in Denver.
That said, the speculation has begun about where Wilson might play next season, with everyone assuming that his stint with the Broncos is about to come to an end.
According to the Bear Bets Podcast, it appears the Pittsburgh Steelers are the favorites to bring in Wilson for the 2024 NFL season.
Odds on where Russell Wilson will play in 2024
Pittsburgh Steelers: -110
Denver Broncos: +320
Atlanta Falcons: +450
New England Patriots: +450
Las Vegas Raiders: +600
Minnesota Vikings: +1000 pic.twitter.com/1zevHlaxNf— Bear Bets Podcast (@BearBetsPod) February 20, 2024
The Kenny Pickett experiment in Pittsburgh hasn’t worked, with the team definitely needing an upgrade at the quarterback position, which Mike Tomlin and company would get if able to get their hands on Wilson, even if it is for one season.
The other teams on the list are also in desperate need of an upgrade at quarterback, with the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, and Minnesota Vikings all looking for another option to lead their franchise under center next season.
The Steelers could be the most aggressive team with the biggest upside on this list of teams for 2024, which would obviously be intriguing for Wilson, who likely is only looking for an opportunity to win another title in the twilight of his career.
