The NFL Draft is one of the most exciting events of the offseason for fans.
It is an opportunity for struggling teams to add blue-chip talent to their roster, and an overall chance for teams to get better, building depth at various positions.
This year’s draft is one of the most highly touted at a few positions, including quarterback, wide receiver, and offensive line.
There are a few offensive linemen that are seen as top-15 picks, at least in the public eye.
While the public might be bought in on a few players, Houston offensive tackle Patrick Paul recently indicated that he will go higher than the public believes.
As he said via uStadium, “A lot of teams have way different draft boards than the public mock drafts,” adding, “Expect to see me late Thursday.”

Paul believes that he will be a first-round pick based on what teams across the league tell him.
Having a solid offensive line is becoming more and more important in the NFL with the increased value of the quarterback position.
It will be interesting to see where and when a player like Paul will be drafted, especially since he hasn’t been publically discussed as a first-rounder.
Teams need depth at the position, but they also don’t take an offensive lineman in the first round as a depth piece.
Paul sees himself as a player that can come in and impact an NFL roster from the get-go, which fans will have to wait and see if this comes to fruition.
