Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Campbell honed his skills in Georgia where he played both high school and college baseball. His potential was recognized when he was selected in the fourth round of the June Amateur Draft following his standout performance at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Professional Journey and Impressive Performance
Campbell made his professional debut shortly after being drafted, starting with appearances in the Florida Complex League and then progressing to High-A ball with the Greenville Drive. During his initial stint in professional baseball, he posted a .309 batting average with an on-base percentage of .441 and a slugging percentage of .471 over the span of 222 games. His early contributions included one home run, five RBIs, three stolen bases, and four doubles.
Ascending the Minor League Ladder
The 2024 season marked a significant leap in Campbell’s development. He began with the High-A Greenville Drive and quickly advanced through the system with stops at Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester. In his first full professional season, he played 115 games and delivered outstanding numbers, batting .330 while accumulating a .439 on-base percentage and a .558 slugging percentage. His season also featured 20 home runs, 77 RBIs, 24 stolen bases, and 32 doubles, showcasing his well-rounded offensive game.
