LeBron James Caught in a Whirlwind as Past Haunts the King
Nothing posted on the internet ever goes away. And God forbid something you don’t want everyone seeing gets posted online. That’s because dealing with it is akin to slaying the mythical beast, Hydra. Cut off one head and two shall spring in its place. Well, according to what former LA Clippers player, John Wall told Draymond Green, that’s exactly the situation LeBron James finds himself in.
John Wall Uncovers a Long-Lost Dunk Video
Wall recently appeared on The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis. On it, he, Green, and Davis discussed a plethora of topics. Among those was the fact that LeBron James apparently had an embarrassing video of himself deleted from the Internet. “Bron might be the only one getting stuff deleted off YouTube,” Wall said. When asked what the video he was, he explained, “Jordan Crawford dunking on him while he was at Xavier…Only reason I brought it up is somebody just posted it. Bron ain’t get this one to go away, but I’m like I ain’t seen it in years.” Baron Davis then added that he felt LeBron James was the one responsible for the clip resurfacing. “I feel Bron prolly put that out himself. Like ‘This is the blurry, edited version. Let me go on and drop this.’ Draymond know, that’s his dog,” he finished.
The trio were discussing getting dunked on by other players. Davis said that he’d never show his kids a clip of that. Wall promptly responded by saying it was on YouTube. This happened during a pickup game against Xavier University back in 2009. There, James faced off against Jordan Crawford, then an NBA aspirant. Even though everyone played the game at half pace, Jordan took the opportunity to get one over one of the best players ever. As soon as he saw the chance, he took the ball and slammed it over James, who watched on helplessly.
LeBron’s Response and John Wall’s Commentary
While there’s no real way to confirm the validity of Wall’s claims of LeBron taking it down, it’s still fun to think about. And fans will have loved seeing John Wall back on their screens after his hiatus from the NBA.
John Wall’s NBA Comeback Plans
January 14, 2023, was the last time we saw John Wall play in the NBA. It was a regular season game in which his Los Angeles Clippers lost to that year’s champions, the Denver Nuggets. It’s been 2 years since then and we still have no update on his return. Well, that was the case till his appearance on Draymond Green’s podcast.
On it, Green asked John Wall if he had anything planned when it came to his playing career. And John provided us with quite a straightforward answer. “I still got like a year or two, I think like a year or two Imma give it. But I’m still working on it every day” He clarified that even if he doesn’t end up returning as a player he still wants to remain in the basketball world.
“I still wanna be involved in basketball. Like broadcasting, try to be a GM,” Wall said. However, he also revealed that he wouldn’t be too miffed if he can never make it back onto the court. “If it don’t happen, then I’m cool with giving it up. I feel like I had a great run. I wasn’t mad about it. Injuries are a part of the game,” said Wall. A very mature stance, considering how many players rush to get back into the game only to make things worse for themselves later.
