Legal Battle
Wide receiver Xavier Worthy has initiated a lawsuit against his former fiancée, accusing her of extortion and abuse. This legal action comes in connection with an incident earlier in March that led to an arrest on an assault charge.
Investigation Update
Following a detailed investigation by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, and consultations with an independent witness, it has been determined that the case is on hold pending the completion of the investigation. Worthy and his legal team are fully cooperating with local authorities as the investigation continues.
On-Field Achievements
In his rookie season with the Chiefs, Worthy appeared in 17 regular season games, recording 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns, along with 20 rush attempts for 104 yards and three touchdowns. His performance extended into the playoffs, where he played in three games, amassed 19 catches for 287 yards and three touchdowns, and carried the ball three times for eight yards.
Future Prospects
Selected with the 28th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft following an impressive career with the Texas Longhorns, Worthy is expected to play a significant role for the Chiefs in the upcoming season. As he focuses on his professional performance, Worthy remains determined to overcome personal challenges and return to the field with renewed vigor.
