After trading superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets before last season, the consensus around the NFL was that the Green Bay Packers were at the beginning of a potentially extensive rebuilding process with Jordan Love at the helm.
Although Love had been groomed to take over for Rodgers the last couple of years, there was no telling whether he’d be a success right away like Brett Favre and Rodgers or if it would take some time for him to get comfortable under center.
During the first half of the 2023 campaign, Love and the team struggled, and it appeared Green Bay was headed for a disappointing end to the regular season while being on the outside looking in on the NFL playoffs.
Fortunately for the Packers, Love came into his own during the second half of the season, leading the team to win nine games and punch a ticket to the postseason.
As if that wasn’t impressive enough, the Packers went on to beat the second-seeded Dallas Cowboys on the road in the first round of the playoffs, which really put people on notice, with general manager Brian Gutekunst signing the praises of his new starting quarterback after the season via SiriusXM NFL Radio.
“He played at a very, very high level at the second half of last year and I think sky’s the limit for him,” Gutekunst said.

With Love proving to be the real deal under center for Green Bay, the storied franchise will be tasked with putting talent around their new star quarterback in order to get to the next level.
