After a dreadful start to the post-Aaron Rodgers era, in which the team lost five of their first seven games of the 2023 NFL regular season, the Green Bay Packers are sitting at .500 with a record of 6-6 after beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13.
Somehow, someway, the Packers are still in the playoff picture in the NFC, with quarterback Jordan Love shouldering the load under center with five games left to be played before the postseason starts.
Fortunately for the Packers, the final stretch of games for this team is against divisional opponents and against teams whose seasons are basically already over with little to no hope of making the playoffs.
That said, the Packers still have something to play for moving forward, which is likely why they made their most recent move to sign veteran running back Kenyan Drake to the practice squad while also releasing James Robinson, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Drake, who has bounced around the league a lot over the last few years, has played in only two games so far this season for the Baltimore Ravens and only came away with two receptions for 31 receiving yards and one carry for zero rushing yards.
Clearly, Drake is not the same player he was while with the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals, but he might be able to provide the Packers with some depth at the running back position if they need it moving forward.
In Week 14, the Packers will go on the road to face the New York Giants in hopes of getting over .500.
