After trading away Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets, the Green Bay Packers ushered in their next era of football with Jordan Love under center.
Love started the 2023 NFL season strong before hitting a speedbump in the middle of the year.
However, Love and the rest of the offense bounced back and made a serious playoff push after upsetting the Dallas Cowboys.
Although Green Bay was unable to hold on against the San Francisco 49ers, the franchise has to be thrilled with where they currently stand as they should be a playoff contender.
Defensively, the Packers made a splash in free agency when they signed safety Xavier McKinney away from the New York Giants.
The team isn’t done shoring up that side of the field as they also came to an agreement with linebacker Eric Wilson via the team’s official Twitter account.

Wilson was originally signed off the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad in 2022 and has been with Green Bay since.
The former undrafted free agent has become a core special teamer for the Packers, though he also saw snaps on defense this past season.
Although his numbers are modest at best, Wilson is a solid depth piece for Green Bay and a low-risk signing that ensures some continuity on defense and special teams.
He has played 30 games for the team the past two seasons and his familiarity with the scheme should earn him more snaps next season.
The Packers will have additional opportunities to add talent to the roster and it’ll be interesting to see who else they land.
