After the Green Bay Packers traded superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets in a blockbuster deal before the 2023 NFL season got underway, the storied franchise turned to Jordan Love to lead the way under center, with no telling if he was ready to fill the shoes of a four-time NFL MVP.
Although the Packers got off to a rough start with Love as their new starting quarterback, with the team losing six of their first nine games of the regular season, Green Bay was able to get back on track and become one of the hottest teams in the second half of the season.
Love emerged as a potential star in the making in Green Bay in the second half of the season, as he helped lead the team to six wins in eight games to close out the regular season, which resulted in the team clinching a playoff spot.
With Love starting to prove his worth over the last couple of months, he’s earned the respect of his teammates, like wide receiver Christian Watson, who praised the quarterback’s “weird poise” ahead of the playoff showdown with the Dallas Cowboys, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
“He has like a weird poise about him.”

As Watson says, Love is “right where he needs to be” with the playoff matchup with the Cowboys looming, which is a good sign for the team’s confidence on the offensive side of the football with superstar linebacker Micah Parsons anxiously waiting to take on the Packers.
The Cowboys will play host to the Packers at AT&T Stadium, with Dallas having everything to lose and Green Bay having everything to win as an underdog.
