The 2023 campaign for the Green Bay Packers was a tale of two seasons, with the first being a 3-6 start that made many question the qualifications of young quarterback Jordan Love.
That speculation evaporated quickly when the Pack posted an impressive 6-2 finish followed by a postseason thrashing of the Cowboys and a near-upset of the mighty 49ers.
Love, the team’s first-round selection in 2020, threw for an impressive 32 touchdowns taking over for the departed Aaron Rodgers and, even better, showed the leadership necessary to take charge of one of the league’s most valuable franchises.
This accomplishment was not lost on his teammates.
Cornerback and kick returner Keisean Nixon told Up & Adams that there has been a “shift in the whole organization” since Love took over the team.

The 1st Team AP All-Pro explained that when he arrived at Lambeau Field two years ago, the team was comprised of mostly older players.
That all changed last year as Love stepped in, and instead of trying to “bully the situation,” the quarterback “embraced” the change and established himself as the leader.
How good was Love?
He became the first signal caller not named Favre or Rodgers to win a playoff game for Green Bay since 1982 – which incidentally was 16 years before Love was born.
The changing of the guard, especially when the prior regime had so much success, is always challenging.
But Love weathered a tough start to season, proving to teammates and one of the NFL’s toughest fan bases alike that he is more than equipped to be the new star of the Packers.
